Best method to upgrade laptop M.2 SSD w SX8200

Post by Katmeat » Sun Sep 09, 2018 5:31 pm

I just purchased an SX8200 480GB to upgrade my Dell 7389 laptop, and wondered how best to migrate the existing, smaller m.2 HD using the Acronis software offered. Can I image existing HD to an external USB drive, , swap drives and boot from USB, and then image over to new SSD? Or should I purchase an external esata to USB cable to image directly to the new SX8200? Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Anxious to try this beast. I also bought a second SX8200 for my work desktop, but that has multiple internal HDs, so no problem imaging that one.

Thanks.
