SSD m2 s11 gammix speed problem

Post by martinkrumov » Thu Jun 21, 2018 6:44 am

Hello,
I have ssd m2 s11 gammix, but I can not run it at maximum speed.
The maximum I achieved is 1900 read and 1000 write.
My motherboard is ASUS z370 e gaming.
I hope someone can help.
Thank you.

Hello martinkrumov

It's great to have you join XPG FORUM.
Which capacity you have ?
1900 read speed is definitely much lower but 1000 write looks just fine.
However, the performance may vary based on different capacity, hardware test platform, software, operating system and other variables.
We will double check with technical support and update you soon, thanks.

Good afternoon, martin! You have a very common problem. And here you are unlikely to get a qualified answer. I also did not get. you could see it in another post. What do you need to do? Try to check the speed on a completely empty disk. To do this, you need to start the operating system from another hard disk. And format the hard drive that you will check. further, you need to get rid of some updates with the program "inspectre" (https://www.grc.com/inspectre.htm). update the BIOS of your motherboard. after all this, check the speed. If nothing has changed, most likely you have a defect and you need to go to a service center. Good luck

Hello Martin

Here is the feedback from technical team.
Please make sure the BIOS setting for M.2 PCIEs bandwidth configuration is X4 instead of X2(see below) in order to have maximum performance.
The CDM performance for 240GB is 3,200/Write & 1,100/Read, 480G is 3,200/Write & 1,700/Read, 960GB is 3,150/Write & 1,700/Read, for your reference.
